See Everest up close without the hardest part of the climb. On the 8 Days Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return you walk the classic Sherpa trail from Lukla through Phakding, Monjo and Namche Bazaar to Deboche at 3,820 m, staying every night in the lodges of Mountain Lodges of Nepal – the finest lodges in the Khumbu, with comfortable heated beds, attached bathrooms, hot showers and excellent food. Then, instead of trekking for days more at high altitude, a helicopter takes you up to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar (5,644 m) for the classic face-to-face view of Everest, before flying you back down to Lukla.
Along the way you discover the life and culture of the Sherpa people: the bustling mountain town of Namche, the village of Khumjung with the school built by Sir Edmund Hillary, the famous Tengboche and Pangboche monasteries, prayer walls, mani stones and suspension bridges strung with prayer flags across the Dudh Koshi river. Days are short and unhurried, with time for acclimatisation, so you do not need to be an experienced trekker – just reasonably fit and ready to walk 3–6 hours a day.
Our experienced English-speaking guide and porters look after everything on the trail, and all your meals on the trek are included. It is the perfect choice for travellers who want to see Mount Everest and the whole Khumbu region in comfort, without the stress and time of hiking all the way to Base Camp at 5,364 m.

Best time to trek
October and November are the most popular months, with stable weather, clear blue skies and crisp days. Late March to late April is also excellent, with flowering rhododendrons and calm weather before the clouds build up in May. From May to September the region is often cloudy and wet, and flights to Lukla are more likely to be delayed.
