Dhap Dam,Chisapani & Nagarkot Tour From Kathmandu 2024/2025

TRIP OVERVIEW:

The dam site is located at the North East part of Kathmandu district bordering with Sindhupalchowk and Nuwakot districts. Geographically it is located at Lat. 27 48 18, Long. 85 27 21, Alt. 2067m amsl. Administratively, It lies at ward No 1 of Gokarneshwor Municipality of Kathmandu district. The area lies in the conservation zone within the territory of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park.

Accessibility: Dam site can be accessed through the two routes from Kathmandu valley. One is from Sundarijal area and another is from Sankhu area. The distance of site from Sundarijal is about 21 km and that from Sankhu is about 15 km only. The site can be accessed round the year through semi graveled earthen road from the both routes.

Nagarkot is a village situated 32 km east from the capital Kathmandu valley. This popular hill station is 2175m above sea level. This is the nearest hill station from Kathmandu which offers spectacular sunrise views. If you are lucky and if the weather is clear, you might view the Himalayan range to the north, which includes the Langtang and  Annapurna range. This tour also offers an overview of the authentic village culture and lifestyle around this valley.

The tour starts with about one and half hour of early morning drive from your hotel to Nagarkot. The cold breeze greets you upon reaching the hilltop of Nagarkot. You can view the breathtaking sunrise view and spectacular view of snow-capped mountains.

You can either take pack breakfast or take breakfast after the trip. We normally return to hotel around 9:30 Am. You can also cancel hotel’s breakfast and take breakfast in one of teh hotel in Nagarkot at your own expenses. We will then drive back to Kathmandu.

Nagarkot is one of the nearest and most famous Mountain View point from Kathmandu. Enjoy the sunset over the Himalayas. Nagarkot is situated 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2175 m above sea level. Nagarkot is a popular tourist spot of Nepal. The panorama of the major peaks of eastern Nepal Himalayas including Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest-if weather permits), can be seen from here). The Himalayan peaks Like Manaslu (8463 in). Ganesh Hinial (7111 in), Langtang (7246 in), Choba Bhanre (60l6 in), Gaurishanker (7134 m) and number (6957 in), are also clearly seen from Nagarkot).
