Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.

Ghandruk village is the most beautiful and popular village for short trek that can be done from Pokhara. It sits at an altitude of 2012m above the sea level and is inhabited by Gurungs, one of the ethnic group of Nepal preserving their own religion and culture. The village offers the spectacular close view of Annapurna and the view during sunset and sunrise is fantastic. The trekking also offers the scenic foothills along with charming villagers. The Mountain View is very beautiful and the trail is relatively easy. The trail passes through Rhododendron forest and fascinating traditional Gurung villages where one can have a nice opportunity to witness the culture and tradition of Nepalese countryside. All of these make this trek an ideal choice for everyone looking for short trek in Annapurna foot hills.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Ghandruk( 7 Am to 4 Pm)
Day 02: Ghandruk tour and afternoon drive to Pokhara and half day tour ( Davis Fall/Gupteswore Cave & World Peace Stupa or Mahadev Temple at Pumdikot.
Day 03:Drive to Kathmandu(7 Am to 3 Pm)

Meet at your hotel and drive to Nayapul. Trekking starts from Nayapul ascending upto Ghandruk. En-route witness majestic views of Annapurna range, Manaslu and other mountains. In Ghandruk, visit the Gurung museum. You can spot different mountains from Ghandruk like Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna II, Hinuchuli, Fishtail. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 02 Ghandrukh Tour and afternoon drive to Pokhara and half day tour
Morning enjoy walking nearby village.After breakfast drive to Pokhara.

Check in and start sightseeing tour.Devi’s fall: Davi’s fall or Devi’s fall is a waterfall located at Pokhara in Kaski District, Nepal. The water forms an underground tunnel after reaching the bottom. This tunnel is approximately 500 feet (150 m) long and runs 100 feet (30 m) below ground level. On 31 July 1961, a Swiss couple Davi went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow. Her body was recovered 3 days later in river Phusre with great effort. Her father wished to name it “Davi’s falls” after her. Its Nepali name is Patale Chango, which means “underworld waterfall”.

Ghupteshwaor Cave: The cave was allegedly discovered in the 16th century by some local men who stumbled upon it when clearing some grass. Within the dark cave they discovered many shrines and statues dedicated to Shiva and other Hindu deities. These included Mahadev and Parvati, Nageswor and Saraswati. Towards the read of the cave the men discover that a waterfall ran through it. Further inspection revealed.

World Peace Stupa: World peace pagoda is a massive Buddhist Stupa located on the top of the hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. This spectacular shrine displays the arresting beauty of Annapurna range, Phewa Lake and the grand Pokhara city. 2 hours of short hike along the Raniban forest crossing suspension bridge takes you to the natural and spiritual retreat center of Pokhara, World Peace Stupa. We will cross the lake after 20 minutes of boating with the visit to island temple (Barahi Temple) in the middle of the lake.
