Paragliding in Kathmandu in 2023/2024

Paragliding in Kathmandu has begun since last year at Godavari which can be reached with in an hour drive by car. It is 20 km far from Kathmandu. After we reach at Godavari, well managed botanical garden, we trek a km to Chapkharka where there is flying ground, then we fly over botanical garden. It is the location one can clearly view Phulchowki, hill from the air, lush green forest, and beautiful Kathmandu Valley.

Paragliding in Kathmandu can fulfill the thrust of adventure seekers. It is tandem flight operated by the professional licensed holder instructors. They offer the training course for the solo pilots as well. This is affiliated to Nepal Paragliding and Hanggliding Association (NEPHA) and certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The location is at the height of 2,150 m from the sea level. Including an hour drive to go and an hour to return back, it can be a total 4 – 5 hours time expenditure. The total flight hour is just 20 minutes. If you further like to explore after the flight, botanical garden can be the best place to refresh.

The representative from the company in Kathmandu will pick you from hotel and drive to Chapkharka, the flying station,at Lalitpur District via Godavari. There will be your warm up time before your fly. After this, you will take off with experienced pilot, soaring up high, feel adventurous, view Phulchowki, terraced landscape, Kathmandu Valley and Himalayas to the east then land perfectly. After this, we can visit Godavari Botanical Garden and drive back to Kathmandu.

Actually there is no restriction in clothes. But do wear flexible clothes, sports shoes preferred, sun glasses.

Our pilots are well experiences with more than 5 years of experience in Tandem.

Tandem paragliding is flying with pilots.
