Ghorepani area is short and advanterous  trekking area of Nepal. It is situated at western part of Kathmandu.This is one of the best destination which offers to view scenarios of  Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchchhre and Himchuli.
 Beautiful mountain scenery, pristine forests, diversity of flora and fauna are main highlights of this trek. I allows to view the culture of Gurung's and Magar society of Nepal along with there hearten welcome for you.

Trip Highlights: Typical Magar and Gurung villages at Ulleri and Ghandruk, Sunrise and panoramic mountain views from Poon Hill; rhododendron and alpine trees, City tour, Pokhara - the city of Lake and so on.

Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek::  The trek to Ghorepani - Poon Hill (Pun Hill) which is located in Annapurna region, is truly called as all the best of the trekking in Nepal.

One of the important highlight of this trip is to make a climb on Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular mountain scapes on Earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe.

Besides, during journey, you are rewarded by the natural beauties in your each & every footsteps.


Short Itinerary

Day 1 ::  Trek to Tikhedhunga: Drive to Nayapul (starting point 1:30hr) by private car and trek to Tikhechunga 1540m approx 4hr. overnight in the lodge. Today we will not have a Himalayan view but enjoy the local people, culture and green fiend. Lunch will be serving on the way and dinner will be served at the same lodge. BLD
Day 2  ::  Trek to Ghorepani: After the breakfast trek to Ghorepani (2880m) approx 7 hr. Today is a little hard day to steep ascending to the view point. We will break for lunch at Ulleri village from where we will see a little view of mountain and continue to Ghorepani. Diner will be served at the lodge. Over night in the lodge. BLD
Day 3 ::  Trek to Tadapani 2590m: Today we will wake you early in the morning and we will hike to Poon Hill (45 min) 3210m to see the panoramic Himalaya (Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Fishtail, Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, Manaslu and many others) and sunrise. Back to lodge to take a breakfast and continue trek to Tadapani approx 6 hr. From Tadapani the best view of Fishtail can be seen. Lunch will serve on the way and dinner at the lodge. Over night in the lodge BLD
Day 4 ::   Drive to Pokhara via Ghandruk: Take an early breakfast. Enjoy the last view of Mountain form Tadapani and trek down to Ghandruk. Continue trek down through the Modi Khola and arrive at Syauli Bazar. There, we will take a local regular Jeep to Nayapul and take our car (will be waiting) to transfer to Pokhara and free. BL

Myanmar Airways to connect Yangon–Kolkata from Dec 1
Starting from December 1, Myanmar Airways International will operate two times weekly service between Yangon and Kolkata on Airbus A320 and A319 aircraft. These flights between the two destinations will be operated on Thursdays and Sundays. MAI currently flies between Yangon and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Gaya, Guangzhou, and between Mandalay and Bangkok. Following the powerful earthquakes of April and May 2015, the extent and severity of earthquake-related structural damage and geologic hazard were widely believed to be limited, but remained unknown. With funding from SAMARTH-NMDP and on behalf of the government of Nepal through the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, an assessment team was dispatched from June 25 to July 2, 2015 to this region to observe and record seismic damages that occurred along the main trekking routes and select villages as a result of the earthquakes. The team was comprised of a structural engineer and an engineering geologist, supported by a professional mountain guide and local conservation officer familiar with the region. The objective of the rapid reconnaissance of the region was to a) develop a baseline understanding of the extent of earthquake-related damage, b) advise on the overall trekking safety of the region’s routes and c) provide recommendations on repairs or risk mitigation that will inform tourism recovery and commercial readiness strategies that are currently being developed by the government, its international development partners, and Nepal’s tourism industry at large. The aim of these efforts is to promote tourism back to Nepal which will support the nation’s economic recovery. The findings of the structural and geotechnical rapid assessment of the region are summarized in this report.
